Ataollah Sadeghi stated in an interview with Mehrnews: “Today, the forces of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Unit of Sarvabad County participated in firefighting operations in the natural areas of this county in two shifts, morning and afternoon.”

He added, “Thanks to the swift action and timely presence of the rescue forces, the fires were contained before they could spread to wider areas, preventing further damage to the region’s natural landscapes.”

The head of the Sarvabad Environmental Protection Department noted the challenges posed by the hot weather and the geographical conditions of the area, stating, “The inaccessibility of the fire location complicated the firefighting operations; however, the efforts of the personnel on-site ensured that the fire was controlled in the shortest time possible.”

Sadeghi continued, “Had there been a delay in the arrival of the rescue forces, there was a risk of the fire spreading to the higher elevations, and given the difficulty of accessing these areas, extinguishing the fire could have taken a considerable amount of time.”

He emphasized the necessity of public participation in the protection of natural areas, noting, “Safeguarding national lands and natural resources is a collective responsibility, and citizens must adhere to safety guidelines and promptly report any sightings of fire to the rescue forces and relevant authorities.”
