Survey Results Reveal Unprecedented Sympathy Among Americans for Palestine

According to the Mehrnews, a survey published today, Friday, revealed that for the first time since Gallup began tracking the popularity of the Palestinian people and the Israeli regime in the United States, the number of Americans expressing sympathy for Palestinians has surpassed those supporting Israel. According to Gallup, this shift marks the end of two decades of Israeli dominance in American public opinion.

In recent decades, support for the Israeli regime among the American public has consistently reached unprecedented levels globally, largely due to the extensive activities of pro-Israeli lobbies and media affiliated with this regime. The survey disclosed that 41 percent of Americans expressed sympathy for Palestinians, compared to 36 percent for the Israeli regime.

While a significant majority of participating Democrats showed greater sympathy for Palestinians over Israelis (65 percent versus 17 percent), a notable portion of the change has occurred among independent voters, who support Palestinians at 41 percent compared to 30 percent for Israel. Last year, this figure stood at 42 percent in favor of Israel against 34 percent for Palestinians.

Gallup revealed that sympathy for Israelis among Republicans has also decreased by 10 points since 2024, reaching its lowest level since 2004.
