According to KhabarOnline, Ali Ahmadi stated that industrial polluting units throughout Qom Province are being monitored continuously by environmental experts, and if any pollution is detected, necessary warnings will be issued to them.
He added that if the polluting units disregard these warnings and fail to take appropriate measures to reduce pollution, the officials of these units will be referred to judicial authorities and will face strict action for threatening public health.
According to KhabarOnline and the Public Relations Department of the Environmental Protection Agency of Qom Province on Saturday, March 2, he emphasized that under the law, any pollution arising from industrial, mining, and service activities is considered a crime and is subject to legal and criminal penalties. He clarified that experts from this department act as special judicial agents in addressing any environmental pollution in accordance with the law.
