According to KhabarOnline, Alinaghi Heydarian, in this directive, emphasized the necessity of preserving forests, pastures, deserts, and coastal lands, highlighting the protection of fundamental resources such as water, soil, and vegetation as priorities for the organization’s conservation missions. He stressed that any off-road activities that lead to soil degradation, land erosion, damage to vegetation, and disruption of ecological balance are contrary to the organization’s conservation goals and must be addressed in accordance with the law.

ISNA reported that, based on this directive, unregulated and rampant movement of vehicles and off-road equipment in areas managed by the organization is prohibited. The provincial protection units are mandated to increase patrols and monitoring in desert, forest, pasture, and coastal areas to identify hazardous locations and prevent potential damages.

Documentation of violations, including capturing images, geographic coordinates, extent of damages, and details of the offenders, as well as the formation of case files and referral of offenders to legal authorities, are other actions emphasized in this directive. Additionally, statistics on violations and the extent of damages must be submitted quarterly to the organization’s protection unit command.

It is noteworthy that recognizing off-roading as a sport falls under the responsibilities of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The matter is being pursued through expert meetings with relevant agencies, and after legal clarification, the necessary executive instructions will be issued.
