According to the Mehrnews, Abdol Deyanti Nasab announced the arrest of poachers during a joint operation conducted by environmental guards and security police in the Eastern Dena region. He stated that following reports from the public, the Eastern Dena protection unit monitored and surveyed several predetermined routes until late at night.
The Director General of the Department of Environment in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad added that at 2 AM, with the coordination and support of security police officers, they successfully identified and apprehended a group of illegal hunters and fishers. He emphasized that during the inspection of the offenders, the carcass of a wild goat and a wild sheep, which had been illegally hunted, were discovered and confiscated, and the case of these individuals has been referred to judicial authorities for legal proceedings.
Deyanti Nasab expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the security police, the judiciary, and the provincial law enforcement command, stating that such collaborations have enabled environmental guards to work with greater motivation and determination in protecting natural habitats and combating illegal hunters. The Director General of the Department of Environment in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad stressed that due to its rich wildlife species, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad is considered a priority conservation area in the country, and a firm and uncompromising stance against poachers remains a top priority for the provincial Department of Environment.
