According to the Mehrnews, Mohammad Darvish, the head of the leadership council of Hamas, in a letter addressed to Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, congratulated the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan and expressed wishes for the prosperity of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He provided a comprehensive report on the current status of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

In this letter, Mohammad Darvish emphasized Hamas’s full commitment to the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, while detailing the blatant and egregious violations of the ceasefire by the Israeli regime. These violations include daily attacks on Palestinian areas, the ongoing killing of Palestinians, particularly women and children, the detention of Palestinians, severe restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, obstructions in the operation of the Rafah crossing, and the movement of Palestinian citizens, as well as hindrances to the reconstruction of vital infrastructure.

In the concluding section of this letter, the head of Hamas’s leadership council stressed the urgent need for mediators and the international community to compel the occupying regime to fulfill its obligations. This includes an immediate cessation of killings, massacres, and violations of the rights of the Palestinian people, adherence to the provisions regarding the entry of humanitarian aid and assistance to the residents of the Gaza Strip, the lifting of restrictions related to the Rafah crossing, facilitating the movement of travelers, allowing the entry of fuel, equipment, and machinery necessary for infrastructure reconstruction, and adherence to humanitarian rules, as well as stopping the torture and mistreatment of Palestinian prisoners.
