According to KhabarOnline, the Deputy of Natural Environment at the Khuzestan Department of Environment Protection addressed the circulation of certain information on social media regarding a fire in the Hoor al-Azim Wetland, stating that this fire occurred outside the boundaries of the wetland.

Seyed Adel Mola noted that field investigations and satellite images indicate that the fire, which took place on Tuesday, August 6, occurred at the end of the Al-Mahdi drainage canal and is outside the Hoor al-Azim Wetland area. He added that, based on these investigations, the fire affected dry vegetation and reeds along the canal, and no fire has been reported or observed within the boundaries of the Hoor al-Azim Wetland.

Mola emphasized the importance of disseminating accurate news, stating that the condition of the Hoor al-Azim Wetland is continuously monitored by experts, and any incidents occurring within the wetland’s boundaries will be officially communicated through the appropriate channels.
