According to the Mehrnews, Mehdi Balideh stated on Friday evening during a gathering with reporters from Kurdistan media that, in line with intensifying protective measures and preventing illegal hunting and fishing in the protected area of Zaribar Wildlife Refuge, the environmental protection unit stationed at the Bardarsha outpost in Marivan successfully identified two groups of offenders during their patrols.
He added that the enforcement officers managed to discover and seize two hunting rifles from these individuals before any hunting activities commenced, thereby preventing an environmental violation.
The head of the Marivan Environmental Department emphasized the continuation of legal actions against illegal hunting and fishing offenders, noting that control patrols in the managed areas will persistently continue. He encouraged citizens to report any observed violations to the Environmental Department.
