Destruction of Six Charcoal Kilns in Loodab Heights: Ongoing Battle Against Nature Exploiters

According to the Mehrnews, Seyyed Jamal Mousavian stated that following continuous patrols and monitoring by the Natural Resources Protection Unit, a site for the illegal production of charcoal by nature traffickers was identified in the rugged heights of the Komek Loodab region.

He added that the Natural Resources Protection Unit of the Loodab district, through field presence and round-the-clock efforts, successfully discovered the location of the offenders and identified six metal kilns used for charcoal production. These kilns were destroyed and removed from the cycle of activity after their discovery.

The Director General of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad emphasized the ongoing efforts to address violations in the field of natural resources, stating that investigations to identify and take legal action against those involved in the illegal charcoal production in this area are ongoing.

Mousavian highlighted the importance of public participation in the protection of natural areas and urged citizens to report any violations, including tree cutting, wood and charcoal production and trafficking, destruction and encroachment on national lands, and wildfires in natural resource areas through the Natural Resources Protection Unit’s hotline numbers 1504 and 139.
