According to KhabarOnline, Alireza Ebrahimi, the head of the Wildlife Protection and Management Department of Mazandaran, announced that this bear, aged between 18 and 20 years, suffered spinal injuries due to a gunshot and has lost the ability to move its hind limbs. Additionally, radiological images reveal the presence of approximately 20 pellets in various parts of the animal’s body.

The veterinary team from the Environmental Protection Organization has updated the treatment plan based on the results of examinations and tests, which includes pain management, treatment of infected wounds, and continuous monitoring for ongoing care at the Semsankande Rehabilitation Center.

Ebrahimi emphasized that the likelihood of complete recovery and the return of the animal’s mobility is very slim, and he stated that identifying and legally addressing the perpetrators of this illegal shooting is a top priority.
