Ali Akbar Ghorbanloo reported to Mehrnews about the arrest of illegal hunters in the wildlife habitats of Shahroud, adding that the remains of a wild sheep were discovered from the offenders. He continued, stating that following a report regarding the presence of hunters, the matter was prioritized by the environmental protection unit of Shahroud.

The head of the Shahroud Environmental Department announced the dispatch of officers to the specified area and continued, saying that the officers successfully identified the individuals through surveillance and discreet monitoring of the routes. Ghorbanloo emphasized that the hunters were pursued as soon as they got into their vehicle, ultimately leading to the blockage of their route.

He added that one of the habitual hunters attempted to escape with a smuggled firearm, but the other individuals were apprehended along with the remains of four wild sheep and hunting equipment. He further noted that the suspects were detained under the orders of judicial authorities, and their case has been referred to the judicial authorities for further processing.
